EIQA (Excellence Ireland Quality Association) is the Irish National Quality Association and has been at the forefront of the quality crusade for more than 45 years.
EIQA is known as the ‘Guardian of The Q Mark’.
Beneath the umbrella of EIQA, The Q Mark brand currently holds 13 programmes which are widely used nationally and internationally.
The Q Mark programmes are Quality Management System frameworks which are all built on the business excellence model of continuous improvement.
Historically, EIQA have been branded with the logos that you can see above.
In 2009 The Q Mark re-branded with the beautiful gold Q Mark logo that is today recognised by 98% of customers.
Paul has over 25 year experience working with Irish and international financial institutions, concluding his banking career as Director of Group Operations for ABN-AMRO Bank NV Ireland, Paul was appointed Managing Director of EIQA Limited from 2003 until December 2007 and Chairman from 2007 to-date.
Leaving Ireland in 2008 to become CEO of Fujairah Bulk Shipping LLC in the Middle East. Paul returned to Ireland in 2011 and has been appointed to a number of Executive boards in the private sector including Voicelock Limited and Ozone Industries Ireland Limited.
In 2013 and 2014, Paul completed a full strategic review of St. Vincent de Paul on a pro-bono basis, which has been endorsed by their Board.
From 2016 to-date, Paul has been appointed Chairman of Ozone Industries Ireland Limited.
Paul has a first class honours business degree and has attended Harvard business school, he also holds a Diploma in Advanced Computer programming from Trinity College Dublin.
The Operations Team look after Certification, QA , Customer Service, registration requirements, New Business Development, Technical checks and The National Q Mark Awards. The Training Team keep busy with Training and The EIQA Diploma in Quality Management. The Accounts Team look after the numbers, We all get involved in global research, environmental commitments, legislation updates, innovation and internal audits. The Audit Team look after you our customers. Our external supports include the national panel of qualified auditors, assessors and trainers.
